Before I turn into a pumpkin, I wanted to share a recap of the most interesting and important creator themes we observed in 2025. Some have persisted for a while, continuing to strengthen and prove out across domains (#1). Some are uniquely topical for 2025 (#2 and #3). And others emerged this year, but will likely be even more applicable in the years to come (#4 and #5).

While it’s tempting to comment on the state of media broadly (Warner! Paramount! Netflix! Disney!), the ideas herein relate specifically to creator-entrepreneurs building companies in this era.

Although not intentional, much of my writing throughout the year maps to these themes. If you want to dive deeper into any section, I’ve linked relevant posts throughout.

It’s been a wild and fun year since launching the Creator Fund in February, and I am so grateful for the support of every creator, LP, team member, industry friend, non-industry friend, and reader who has been alongside us on this journey.
